Application Process:

  1. Interested students may submit a letter of application by April 1st indicating why they should receive consideration for a particular scholarship or award, including their name, address and phone number. Attached to the application letter should be the student's latest transcript from the Brandywine School of Nursing, clinical evaluations, and any letters of reference the applicant wishes to include. All materials should be sent to the attention of Frances M. Sheehan, President and CEO, Brandywine Health Foundation, 50 S. 1st Avenue, Coatesville, PA 19320.  These letters will be shared with the Brandywine School of Nursing’s Curriculum Committee.
  2. A list of students with a GPA of 2.5 is distributed to the Curriculum Committee at the Brandywine School of Nursing in April for the purpose of determining additional eligible students for various awards, in addition to those who have expressed interest (see #1). Curriculum Committee members present eligible candidates to the Brandywine Health Foundation for final approval and the distribution of award letters.
  3. A student may receive more than one award and awards should not be given if no one particular student qualifies.
  4. Graduation award recipients receive checks as indicated; those receiving scholarships at the May breakfast reception have their tuition credited upon the Foundation’s submission of scholarship funds to the Brandywine School of Nursing.
