Grants & Scholarships
It is our privilege to help nonprofit organizations in
central and western Chester County promote health and improve
access
to healthcare.
We are committed to being good stewards of the community
assets in our trust and the ongoing generosity of individuals
and businesses.
Each grant and project we fund must have
the greatest possible impact on improved health for individuals
in our community.
We are interested in grant applications that make high quality
health care more accessible and that encourage people from
every background to strive for good health.
Grant Guidelines
Since its inception in May of 2001, the Brandywine Health
Foundation has distributed over $3.6 million in grants to non-profits,
as well as nursing scholarships to individuals, to initiate
and support programs meeting the foundation’s mission:
to improve the health and well being of the residents of central
and western Chester County. In February of 2007, the foundation
approved a Strategic Plan outlining grantmaking priorities
for the next five years.

Nursing Awards & Scholarships
The Brandywine Health Foundation seeks to address the critical
shortage of nurses by encouraging Chester County residents
to enter the field of nursing. To that end, ten nursing awards
and scholarship funds benefiting students studying at the
Brandywine School of Nursing are available.
