| Only rarely does a charitable
cause come along that promises to dramatically improve the
way healthcare is provided to those most vulnerable in our
community. In the Coatesville region, that transformative
project is the Brandywine Center.
As the Brandywine Center opens, we turn to you to help
close the gap today.
The new Brandywine Center on 744 East Lincoln Highway in
Coatesville brings together several vital health and social
services as well as provides low-income senior housing.
The building is 48,000 square feet on four floors, with
parking in the back and across the street.
ChesPenn Health Services and Community Dental are on
the first floor, and Child Guidance Resource Centers and
Human Services are on the fourth floor with a large meeting
room for community gatherings, educational sessions and
professional training; and the middle two floors each have
12 apartments for the seniors.
Special highlight: the first floor waiting room for ChesPenn
and Community Dental has the McNeil Children’s Library
with a beautiful mural painted by Cochranville artist, Jean
Dunphy. The Library’s books are for children to take
with them (they do not need to be returned), a project being
coordinated by the volunteers of the Outreach Committee of
Freedom Village Retirement Community. The library is named
in honor of Bob and Jennifer McNeil to thank them for their
generosity and commitment in serving as our Garden Party
hosts for the last five years.
The good news is that over $13 million has been raised
to date to build the Center; bringing various levels of
government funding as well as private resources into Coatesville,
important dollars that otherwise would not have come into
the community.
Please consider helping us to close the gap with a donation
to the Brandywine Center. Your gift has never been more
important! Gifts at all levels will make a difference.
Your generous support of the Closing the Gap Campaign will
ensure that the Brandywine Health Foundation is able to
complete this project with the final purchase of necessary
furnishings and equipment, while maintaining a financial
commitment to many other valuable nonprofit organizations
in our community. (Please

We welcome the opportunity to share with you our plans
to improve our community’s health now and in the
future, so please do not hesitate to call our Development
Office should you have any questions (610-380-9080), or
if you would like to make a gift of stock.
We hope that the results of our first seven years of
work will inspire you to make a generous gift to the Brandywine
Health Foundation’s Closing the Gap Campaign.
