7th Annual Garden Party Sponsorship

You’ve probably driven down Route 82 at the corner of Covered Bridge Road, just south of Ercildoun, passing a property called “HouyhnhnM” – and wondered who lives there, and how do I pronounce that name? We are pleased to share with you that not only can we answer these questions, we are ecstatic to announce that the Brandywine Health Foundation will be holding our 7th annual Garden Party at “HouyhnhnM” (pronounced “win ‘em”), the home of Jeff Seder and Nina Burnaford.

We would like to invite you to join us as a sponsor of this year’s Garden Party at Nina and Jeff’s beautiful Coatesville property on the evening of Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Guests continue to tell us year after year that this is an event not to be missed – be part of a memorable evening mingling with long-time friends, meeting new ones, enjoying a delicious light supper with cocktails, and providing support to so many individuals in our community who desperately need our help now more than ever.

Another frequent question we receive is whether or not we will be continuing the popular “Battle of the Berries at Brandywine” where you sample divine desserts from the area’s finest restaurants and vote for your favorite. The answer is a resounding “yes” -- you will continue to enjoy this anticipated tradition that four hundred friends have come to look forward to each year!

The Garden Party launches the 2009 Strawberry Festival presented by Brandywine Hospital and Harleysville National Bank. This year, the Festival will be held from Thursday, May 28 through Sunday, May 31 on the grounds of Brandywine Hospital. This annual tradition is enjoyed by more than 25,000 people, in addition to hundreds of sponsors and volunteers. We are grateful to both Brandywine Hospital and Harleysville National Bank for stepping forward so generously to serve as the major underwriters of this year’s Strawberry Festival. Their leadership recognizes that it’s precisely because of the economy’s downturn that they need to step forward to partner with the Brandywine Health Foundation. This year there are those in the community who are in even more desperate need of affordable, accessible health care services.
