Local
restaurants participated in the “Battle of
the Berries at Brandywine” where guests sampled
divine desserts and voted for their favorites. The
winning dessert, voted on by the 400 guests, was
an old-fashioned buttermilk strawberry shortcake
(pastry chef Denise Schott’s grandmother’s
recipe with a little twist!) from the General Warren
Inne in Malvern.
