The
2010 Garden Party
On
behalf of the Brandywine Health Foundation’s
Board of Directors, we extend our deep thanks to you for
your generosity, along with the two hundred plus sponsors
of our 8th annual “East Meets West” Garden
Party and 2010 Strawberry Festival presented by First Niagara
and PECO. Three hundred and fifty guests joined us at HouyhnhnM,
the home of Jeff Seder and Nina Burnaford, for an evening
of mingling with old friends, meeting new friends and enjoying
the popular “Battle of the Berries at Brandywine” sponsored
by Freedom Village Brandywine. Congratulations
to Northbrook MarketPlace for winning the competition
for their scrumptious dessert, “Strawberry Meringue with Lemon Mascarpone
and Blackberry Puree, dusted with Strawberry Powder.” Delicious!!!!
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to you for your generous
support as a key sponsor. The Garden
Party and the Strawberry Festival together netted over
$170,000! During these tough
economic times we can be proud of this success as a result
of the deep commitment you and hundreds of our other friends
have demonstrated to the health of the greater Coatesville
area and this annual community tradition. Thank you for
playing an essential part in our community’s progress.
The
Brandywine Health Foundation is the only charitable foundation
dedicated to health-related services in the greater Coatesville
area. Our newest project, the Coatesville Youth Initiative,
is a coordinated approach to help young people in Coatesville
prepare for a productive adulthood. For the first time
in decades, the community has expressed a strong faith
that this initiative is going to truly make a difference.
Because of your commitment to the foundation and the community — children
and their families will have improved access to high quality
health care; and young people can grow up in a healthy,
safe environment where they have every opportunity to dream
and pursue productive and meaningful lives. Once again,
we extend our heartfelt appreciation to you for your commitment
to the Brandywine Health Foundation.
With sincere gratitude for your interest in our efforts
to create a brighter, healthier future for our community’s
children and youth!
