Frances Sheehan announced that the Brandywine
Consignment Shop has donated nearly $200,000 to the foundation. “The
shop plays a vital role in enabling the foundation to make generous
grants to area non-profit organizations, and we are grateful
for their invaluable, significant support. Since the foundation’s
inception in 2001, it has invested more than $6.8 million in
grants to non-profit organizations that improve the health of
local residents, and nursing scholarships. The focus of these
grants has been primarily on strengthening the safety net of
healthcare providers in the area serving those with little or
no health insurance.”
Nancy Oliver, the Brandywine Consignment Shop’s manager
noted that the partnership with the Brandywine Health Foundation
has been a solid, positive relationship. “We are so
pleased that the funds we have raised are strategically directed
by the foundation to such worthwhile agencies and programs
in our local community and in knowing that the foundation has
been such excellent stewards of our donations.” |
The shop has been able to donate the nearly
$200,000 to the foundation because of the hard work and dedication
of more than 50 volunteers and its staff. For more than 17
years, the shop has been selling beautiful, like-new clothing
and household items to our community.
The
consignment shop is located in a cheery yellow house located
just north of the Route 30 Bypass on Route 113 at 368 Uwchlan
Avenue in Downingtown. The shop is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,
Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesday from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Get more information

The shop has something for everyone with new
items arriving almost daily. The Brandywine Consignment Shop
is one of the few shops to carry not only quality ladies clothing
but clothing for children and men as well. Always an interesting
selection of vintage, costume and fine jewelry can be found
or household items in all price ranges, from everyday glassware
to fine crystal. If you are furnishing your first apartment
or on the hunt for antiques and collectables of all types,
you might just find it at the Brandywine Consignment Shop.
Check often since great bargains don’t stay on the shelves
for long. If you are looking for a place to consign, buy or
donate such items, the Brandywine Consignment Shop is the place
to go. And, as an added bonus, you can shop, consign and/or
donate items with the satisfaction and peace of mind that comes
with knowing the proceeds go to a good cause – the Brandywine
Health Foundation. |
