Brandywine Health Foundation Gives $10,000 to Coatesville
Family Fund
Coatesville, PA
January 27, 2009
The Brandywine Health Foundation today
announced a gift of $10,000 to Citadel Federal Credit Union’s
Coatesville Family Fund to aid the families displaced by the
recent fires in Coatesville. Issued as a challenge grant to
encourage others to come forward, the gift is targeted to the
32 adults and 18 children who are in need of food, clothing
and shelter.
Frances Sheehan, President and CEO of the Brandywine Health
Foundation, expressed concern about “the rash of arsons
that have left some of our community’s most vulnerable
families without food and shelter. It’s time for those
foundations, businesses, and individuals with resources to
respond as quickly and generously as possible.”
According to Jeff March, Citadel President and CEO, “Many
members of our credit union have been affected by both the
physical destruction of these meaningless fires as well as
the continuing fear that they have caused. Firefighters are
exhausted, neighborhoods are constantly on watch and there
is a mounting frustration that is hitting us all. I encourage
all local businesses and citizens of this community to lend
a hand during this time of need.”
