Cleo Alston, of Downingtown

C.E.O. and president of Alstrun L.L.C. He, his wife, Doris, and one of their two daughters, Erica, own and operate five McDonald’s restaurant franchisees. The 17th of 18 children, Alston was born in Coatesville and is a 1966 graduate of Scott Senior High School. Alston served as a U.S. Army sergeant in Vietnam and graduated with a degree in sociology from Lincoln University in 1978. He serves on the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald’s Children’s Charities and the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coatesville.
