2009 - 2010 Board of Directors:

Thomas J. Belmont, Jr. CLU, ChFC, REBC, RHU, Chair, of Malvern
President of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc. Mr. Belmont currently is a member of the Board of Directors of PEBA, an Employee Benefits and Human Resources Organization. He is past president of the National Alumni Association of Villanova University and a former board member and president of the Family and Community Services Agency of Delaware County.

Harry Lewis, Jr., Vice Chair, of Downingtown
Over his 40 years in education, Mr. Lewis held the positions of social worker, special education teacher, physical education teacher and track coach. In June, 2006, Mr. Lewis retired as Principal at Coatesville Area Senior High School. He is the President elect of the Delaware Valley Association of the Chapter of National Alliance of Black School Educators.

James H. Manning Jr., Secretary, of Coatesville: A graduate of Cheyney University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, the former assistant U.S. attorney was, prior to his retirement, a long-time attorney with Sun Company Inc. in Philadelphia, where he served as chief counsel for litigation management for 16 years.

David C. England, Treasurer, of Newtown Square
President, Rouse/Chamberlin Homes in Exton. Mr. England currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Chester and Delaware County Home Builders Association and received the HBA Builder of the Year – “Al Goldstein” Award in January 2005.

The Hon. Carol Aichele, of Malvern
Elected to the Chester County Board of Commissioners in November 2003. Prior to becoming Commissioner, she was the first woman to be elected Controller in Chester County.

Cleo Alston, of Downingtown
C.E.O. and president of Alstrun L.L.C. He, his wife, Doris, and one of their two daughters, Erica, own and operate five McDonald’s restaurant franchisees. The 17th of 18 children, Alston was born in Coatesville and is a 1966 graduate of Scott Senior High School. Alston served as a U.S. Army sergeant in Vietnam and graduated with a degree in sociology from Lincoln University in 1978. He serves on the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald’s Children’s Charities and the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coatesville.

Dr. John K. Baillie, of Morgantown
Retired Executive Director of the Chester County Intermediate Unit from 1982 to 2007. He was the winner of the “Larry Boling Award for Excellence in Government Leadership” in 1996. Serves on many community boards including the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry, Chester County Futures, United Way of Chester County and others. Dr. Baillie received his BS from Millersville University and an MS in Administration and Ed.D. in Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.

Frank (Chip) F. Breuninger Jr., of Coatesville: Mr. Breuninger graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School, and has worked in Coatesville his entire adult life, first for the Chester County Mutual Insurance Company and, since 1977, as president of F. Frederick Breuninger & Son Insurance Inc. He has also served on the board of directors of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and the Coatesville Country Club, and is the president of the Coatesville Health Development Corporation.

Gregory M. Cary, of Honey Brook, received his BA from Alvernia College, Associates Degree in Business from Montgomery County Community College and attended the FBI National Academy and Pennsylvania State Police Academy. He is currently serving as the Regional External Affairs Manager for PECO Energy. He was a Caln Township police officer from 1975 to 1987. He is currently the Chairman of Honey Brook Township, First Vice President of the Chester County Association of Township Officials, Vice-Chair of the Chester County Airport Authority and a board member of the Chester County Economic Development Council and the Chester County Hero Fund.

Anne L. Hearn, of East Nantmeal
Former Executive Director of Leadership Inc. for 15 years. Ms. Hearn is also the co-founder of CHOICE and the Greater Philadelphia Women’s Medical Fund.

Carolyn E. Johnson, of Pomeroy
The executive director of Community Impact Legal Services Inc. in West Chester, a private, nonprofit program that provides free civil legal services in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties to low-income individuals and families. She also serves as president of the Coatesville Center for Community Health. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she graduated from Fisk University in Nashville in 1982 and earned her law degree in 1986 at Howard University. She has been honored with a number of awards, including the March of Dimes 2001 Public Service Award, the Chester County Bar Foundation Award, Don’t Borrow Trouble Suburban Philadelphia Award and the United Way of Chester County Community Partner Award.

Ann Lunger Jones, of Coatesville: A design consultant for Plain & Fancy Interiors in Centerville, Delaware., the former fourth-grade and Head Start teacher has served on a number of boards, including the Delaware Learning Center (for pre-school children with learning disabilities), Planned Parenthood of Chester County and the University of Pennsylvania New Bolton Center Allam House Committee. Ms. Jones currently serves on the Winterthur Development and Point-to-Point committees.

Linwood M. Smith, Jr., of Coatesville
Linwood M. Smith, Jr of Coatesville, received his BS from Cheyney University, his Principal Certificate from Penn State Great Valley Campus and a Masters of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary. He is recently retired as Principal and Federal Programs Administrator of Downingtown East High School (which was a recipient of the Keystone Achievement Award for continuous improvement on the PSSA examinations by the Pennsylvania Department of Education during Mr. Smith’s tenure). He was a public school educator for over 30 years, and currently is pastor of the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Coatesville.

Elizabeth Silvia Wood, Esq., of Honey Brook, earned her B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law. She practices at Fox Rothschild LLP in Exton, focusing on matrimonial and family law. While in law school she was a Public Interest Fellowship Program summer fellow and grant recipient, which enabled her to work as a law clerk for the Homeless Advocacy Project. She is currently serving as a board member and Secretary of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County. She was selected as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” by Philadelphia Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine (2006, 2007, and 2008).

James D. Ziegler, of Cochranville, received his BBA from Temple University and his MBA from West Chester University. He has served as President of the Coatesville Savings Bank since 2000, and has worked there for thirty years. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Brandywine YMCA and the Coatesville Area Partners for Progress. He recently served on the finance committee of the Chester County Community Foundation, and the board of directors of Chester County Community Dental.
